The purpose of this project was to replace an inconsistent outdoor surface with an attractive artificial lawn while retaining the property’s existing tiled walkway and architectural features.
The landscaping design also needed to add structure and visual interest to the long garden area without making the space feel crowded.
The Challenge
Before the transformation, the garden had patchy natural growth, visible soil, weeds, and an uneven overall appearance. The area lacked defined landscaping borders and did not complement the clean exterior design of the residence.
Because the garden extended along the side and rear of the property, its long and relatively narrow layout also required careful planning. A simple rectangular lawn could have made the space appear flat and unfinished.

Before the Artificial Grass Installation

Our Installation Process
1. Site Assessment and Layout Planning
The first step involved examining the shape of the garden, the condition of the existing surface, the location of the tiled walkway, and the available planting areas.
This assessment helped determine how the artificial grass and landscaping borders could be arranged to make the best use of the available space.
2. Existing Surface Preparation
The existing weeds, loose material, and unsuitable growth were cleared from the installation area. Proper preparation was necessary to create a stable and even foundation for the artificial grass.
3. Base Levelling and Preparation
The ground was prepared and levelled to support a smooth final surface. Attention was given to the areas near walls, paved sections, garden borders, and corners.
4. Artificial Grass Cutting and Fitting
The artificial grass was measured, cut, and fitted according to the shape of the garden. The material was carefully positioned around curves, boundaries, and the existing tiled area to create a clean finish.
5. Edge and Border Finishing
Curved planting borders were created beside the artificial lawn. Black decorative stones were then used to form a clear and attractive transition between the grass and planted areas.
6. Planting and Final Inspection
Low-growing shrubs, flowering plants, and taller feature plants were positioned throughout the garden beds. The lawn was then brushed, cleaned, and inspected to ensure the completed area looked neat and properly finished.
